There is a direct correlation between reductions in specific energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. Shown here are the total emissions caused by our production. This includes the CO₂ emissions resulting from the combustion of fossil energy sources in our production sites and the emissions caused indirectly by the consumption of electrical energy. This volume of CO₂ is emitted by the power plants.

The reduction in gas consumption as a primary energy source for the numerous smelting processes significantly reduced the environmental impact due to CO₂ emissions.

The specific CO₂ emissions, normalized on the basis of works output, clearly show the improvements achieved. Within ten years we have been able to reduce specific CO₂ emissions by 60%.
